 Speakers at the appreciation meet of Vengamamba said that the songs were a feast to the ears of the Telugu people after Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu. The songs of the film, produced by VMC Doraswamy Raju, were recently released. Chadalawada Srinivasa Rao, MVS Prasad, Mukthevi Bharati, Radhika Krishna, Ramakrishna, Mada, Ananth, Udayabhaskar, MM Keeravani and JK Bharavi took part in the meet.
Story writer Bharati thanked producer Doraswamy Raju for making Vengamamba both as a feature film and on the small screen. Highlight of the film was that the songs would depict the life and times of Saint poet Vengamamba in a lucid manner.
TTD former Executive Officer MVS Prasad said that the music of Keeravani consisted of both melody and folk with a lot of feel for devotion.
Director Udaybhaskar said that Vengamamba was not a mere devotee of Lord Venkateswara. “She was the first woman who strived for the uplift of the women during her times. There are 21 songs in the film.”
Keeravani said that the album got tremendous response. “I am thankful to the director and producer for giving me this opportunity to once again give a devotional album after Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu.”
Popular writer JK Bharavai said that Tarigonda Vengamamba reflected the urge among women for justice in society. The film is going to release in the second week of July. |
